Terms of Service

1.Acceptance of Terms

By inviting and using Clock ("the Bot") in your Discord server, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not invite or use the Bot. These terms apply to all users, including server administrators and members.

2.Bot Functionality

• The Bot provides time-tracking functions via slash commands and interactive buttons.
• All session data (clock-in/out timestamps, user IDs, server IDs) is stored in a MySQL database managed by the Bot host.
• The Bot supports 6 languages; administrators can configure the preferred language via /config.

3.User Responsibilities

• Administrators must configure the Bot via /config to set channels, roles, and server preferences.
• Ensure the Bot has the necessary permissions: Send Messages, Manage Roles, and Use Slash Commands.
• Maintain a proper role hierarchy so the Bot can manage roles as intended.
• Do not use the Bot to track users without their awareness, in violation of applicable laws or Discord's policies.

4.Data Privacy

The Bot stores minimal user metadata (Discord User ID, timestamps, server ID) required for its functionality. See our Privacy Policy for full details on what is collected and how it is handled.

5.Vote Rewards & top.gg Integration

Clock is listed on top.gg. Voting for the Bot is voluntary and may unlock in-bot rewards.

• When you vote, top.gg sends your Discord User ID to our servers via a secure webhook.
• This information is stored solely to verify and deliver vote rewards.
• Vote rewards are provided as a courtesy and may change or be discontinued at any time.
• Attempting to abuse or exploit the vote reward system may result in removal of your server from the Bot.

6.Admin Dashboard

Verified server administrators may be granted access to a web-based admin dashboard that provides enhanced oversight of session data and configuration options.

• Access to the dashboard is granted at the discretion of the Bot developers.
• Dashboard credentials must not be shared with unauthorized parties.
• Any misuse of the admin dashboard — including unauthorized data access or manipulation — may result in immediate suspension of Bot access for your server.

7.Prohibited Use

• Reverse engineering, decompiling, or otherwise tampering with the Bot's code or infrastructure.
• Using the Bot in violation of Discord's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines.
• Attempting to access, alter, or delete data belonging to other servers or users.
• Automating interactions with the Bot in ways not intended by its design.

8.Limitation of Liability

The Bot is provided "as-is" without warranties of any kind. The developers are not liable for any damages, data loss, or service interruptions arising from the use of the Bot. Use at your own risk.

9.Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. When changes are made, the "Last updated" date will reflect the revision. Continued use of the Bot after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
